Billboard/Print Ad
The company I designed my billboard for is Lush Cosmetics. My intended audience for this ad is Florida consumers, specifically ones that shop local and support their community. The overall goal is to reach a new audience and inspire Floridians to shop at Lush. I specifically designed my billboard to feature the most important message: grown in Florida by real Florida farmers. With this message, I am hoping to build a relationship with Florida farmers as well as Florida consumers to show that Lush truly cares about the state.
Publix Flyer
When I originally started this assignment, I thought Publix would be the main focal point of the flyer. As I continued designing it, however, I realized that this was not the case. In fact, the message of “our gift to you” is the most important part of this campaign, not the company. From there, my entire approach to this project changed and I was able to build the flyer around what exactly Publix was offering. This assignment taught me to always keep the main message in mind while doing graphic design.
One of the design principles I used for my flyer was proximity. I tried to keep every element on the flyer evenly spaced away from each other (one pica apart). I did this to use up free space and to make everything in the document flow smoothly.
